Datacatch is a software company developing solutions for the management and security of removable storage media. Our first product is Datacatch Librarian which enables searches of offline removable storage media such as external hard drives.

Our aim is to provide small to medium business owners and home users with reliable, easy-to-use and cost effective solutions to their data archive and storage solutions.

Our products are designed based on extensive market research of business needing to search and manage various forms of removable media including: USB keys, photo memory cards, and optical discs such as CDs, DVDs, HD-DVDs, removable hard drives and Blu-ray. It is our intense customer focus that makes Datacatch different from its competitors.

At Datacatch we always have an eye on the future; as such we are always interested in hearing from potential distribution partners, strategic allicances or equity partners seeking strategic software acquisitions.

Our challenge

Tough new legal requirements are changing the way businesses need to store and archive their data. While large organizations are able to meet these requirements, these solutions are often too expensive to be implemented by small companies or home-run businesses.

Research shows that home offices and small to medium sized companies are now using removable media to back-up their information. While this is a cost-effective method, removable media often provides an unstructured approach to data archiving and offers no means of browsing, searching, or retrieving important company or client information quickly. This can lead to a significant loss in productivity.

Protection against data theft on USB keys and MP3 players is also a concern for any business, particularly when sensitive company and client information is involved.
